Our 1st Annual Corn Hole Tournament, scheduled for September 13th, was canceled due to anticipated inclement  weather and moved to September 20th.  While we avoided the wrath of Mother Nature that Saturday, we realized just how powerful wind could be on Sunday, the 14th.  Havoc and chaos reigned as most of us dealt with property damage to some degree and downed power lines.  Many dealt for over a week with the frustration of no electricity and the loss of food in refrigerators and freezers.  However, those frustrations were lessened for several hours as we gathered on September 20th for the long awaited 1st Annual Corn Hole Tourney at Bethel where we played, laughed, shared stories, got to know our new friends better, and as good Lutherans always do.....broke bread together.  Being forced to postpone our event for a week was a true blessing as the experience of being together as a family in Christ became even more precious to all who attended.
