The members of Bethel have designated the summer of 2007 as a focus on the new Grace Tanzania Orphanage. We have been raising money to purchase bunkbeds, mattresses and pillows. The Sunday School children alone have raised over $200 for this project. In addition, the women have been busy making quilts for the children who reside there. The money and quilts will be presented to Mrs. Marg Beam on Rally Day, Sunday, September 9, 2007.

TANZANIA MISSION UPDATE:  On April 13, 2008, Marge Beam was able to join us once again.   In October 2007, Marge traveled to Tanzania with the 36 quilts made by the members of Bethel (see Rally Day 2007 page).  We all enjoyed seeing the slide presentation of her trip and the display of Tanzanian art that she shared with us.  While visiting with us, Marge was presented with a check for $600 to be sent to the orphanage from her friends here at Bethel.  Our sincere thanks to Susie Smith, Cathy Michelson, and Doris Taylor for heading up the 2007 quilt project and to Carolyn Meiss, Stewardship Minister 2008, for her continued efforts in support of Marge's work.
