Rally Day 2007 was held on Sept 9th.  Our Sunday School had a dual focus this year.  Sunday School events focused on Living Faith: Call to Discipleship. The intergenerational event had children and adults working their way through seven learning stations depicting the faith practices of praying, studying, worshipping, inviting, encouraging, giving, and serving.  In addition, our Gift of Love project was completed.  Mrs. Marge Beam came from Jackson Center, Ohio, to receive a gift for the orphanage in Bariadi, Tanzania.  The congregation presented her with a check for over $1100 for materials to build beds and provide mattresses and bedding for the children. She was also given 37 quilts made by the people of Bethel.  She took with her to Tanzania, a quilt for each child, a queen size quilt for Pastor Mkaro and his wife, and a child size quilt for their son whose name is God Bless.  As you can see in the photos, Marge was simply overwhelmed.    Members of the Church Council kept their candles burning at our opening. All of the quilts were displayed throughout the sanctuary The Sunday School choir presented a choral offering to Marge Beam Marge was overcome with emotion at our Gifts of Love for the orphans of Bariadi, Tanzania Marge receiving the monetary gift from coordinators Cathy M. and Susie S.
